Sports Medicine includes primary care, orthopedic, physical therapy and athletic training services. The staff provides sports related medical services for all UNC-Chapel Hill students, as well as serving as team physicians and athletic trainers for UNC-Chapel Hill varsity sports teams.
 Orthopedic appointments are available on a fee-for-service basis, whereas the Campus Health fee covers primary care Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy visits. This fee however, does not cover costs for supplies or diagnostic testing. Referrals for Sports Medicine services are recommended, but not required.
UNC-Chapel Hill Athletic Teams and
the UNC Try-out Physical Examination
Participation physicals through Sports Medicine are required for all varsity athlete or try-outs to determine medical clearance prior to any participation. Please read more about the physical and the UNC Try-out Physical Form.

Location
The Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Clinics are located together on the first floor of Campus Health Services in the James A. Taylor building. Physical Therapy is in the basement of Campus Health Services.
