Breezie J. Gibson is a pre-doctoral psychology intern at CAPS and a doctoral candidate in the Counseling Psychology program at Western Michigan University. She completed her M.A. in Counseling with emphasis on community mental health at the University of Missouri-Kansas City as well and earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Toledo. Her professional interests include race/ethnic identity, Black immigrants, generational conflicts in immigrant families, LGBTQ, and social justice issues. Her approach to therapy is integrative utilizing cognitive-behavioral interventions, interpersonal process, and multicultural counseling. Outside of CAPS, Breezie enjoys running, calisthenic workouts, traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with family!
