Clinical Social Worker

Kadeisha obtained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School, and  a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Dance from Duke University.

Kadeisha enjoys working in college counseling and has experience with a wide range of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief, sex, sexuality, spirituality, racial/ethnic identity formation, relationship concerns, transitions, adjustment, and more. She enjoys working with students of color and providing a safe space for folks to feel seen, heard, and understood. Kadeisha believes that her clients are the experts on themselves and that she is here to partner with them on the journey to wellness and self-discovery. She works from an interpersonal framework and integrates training and skills from modalities such as CBT and DBT.  Kadeisha wants her clients to feel empowered, safe, and challenged on their journeys to stronger, healthier, better versions of themselves. She has a long term goal of becoming certified as a Dance Movement Therapist and also has experience integrating mindfulness and movement as therapeutic interventions. In addition to providing individual therapy Kadeisha also holds an interest in and experience with providing group therapy.
