LaVoya Woods-Dionne is a clinical social worker and joins the Multicultural Health Program as a trauma-specialist, supporting recovery from racialized, sexuality, and gender-based trauma. Originally from Queens, NY, LaVoya graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Early Childhood Education and Interdisciplinary Studies: History, Culture & Society. She completed her clinical training at the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her clinical internships were completed with UNC Refugee Wellness and AHB Center for Behavioral Health and Wellness. She joins UNC from private practice with adults, children, adolescents, & families.
