Hi heels! It's Cherish Williams here from CAPS and I'm here to give you all another tip in regulating your sleep during this period of social distancing.
So for this one you want to avoid spending excessive time in bed. Let me say that again - avoid spending excessive time in bed! So what that means is getting out of the bed as soon as your alarm clock goes off. As much as you can, challenging yourself to get your feet on the floor and get moving. It also means not trying to get into bed too early when you know you're not sleepy because then you'll just lay there awake and that's not helpful. Also not lounging in bed so not just chilling in bed, watching TV, texting, talking on your phone. I want you all to get up and get moving and get active with your day. We also want your body to recognize that when it's time to lay in bed, it's actually time to go to sleep.
