Emily is a doctoral candidate in the Counseling Psychology Psy.D. Program at Springfield College. She received a master’s degree in counseling psychology and bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Kansas. Her professional interests include (but are not limited to): adjustment/life transitions, identity/cultural development, working with the LGBTQIA+ community, trauma and survivorship, and men’s issues. Emily also has a strong interest in and experience working with athletes and performers on both clinical and performance concerns. Emily’s approach to therapy is collaborative between the therapist and student, where each brings their respective expertise to work together to achieve the student’s goals. She seeks to create a safe and open environment for the student to explore their concerns and find ways to cope and enhance their personal strengths. She enjoys spending time with her Australian Cattle Dog (Curtis), watching documentaries, attending stand-up comedy shows, and going to concerts and sporting events.
