Darian Poe is a doctoral psychology intern at CAPS. She is originally from Houston, TX and earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas and her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. She is currently completing her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. Darian’s professional interests include trauma, shame, life changes, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, and relational disconnection. She also enjoys working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Darian uses a trauma-informed, intersectional approach to therapy that is strongly influenced by Relational-Cultural and Gestalt therapies. Outside of CAPS, Darian enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, reading, attending sporting events, and lounging around with her two cats, Rowan and Finley.
