Tracy Viator is a doctoral psychology intern coming from UT Knoxville’s Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program. Her professional interests include relational concerns, identity development, life transitions, trauma recovery, and performing artists’ wellness issues. Tracy primarily integrates psychodynamic, interpersonal, multicultural, and third-wave cognitive behavioral perspectives in her approach to therapy. She regards therapy as a collaborative process and prioritizes building safety and trust in the therapy relationship. Outside of CAPS, Tracy enjoys watching movies, exploring local disc golf courses, and playing with a community orchestra. She moved to the Triangle area with her big orange cat, Hobbes (named after the comic strip character).
