Vitina Monacello is a licensed clinical social worker who works with students at UNC’s School of Social Work. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, they received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Dayton and their Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from Columbia University. Vitina’s professional interests include addressing social determinants of health, particularly expanding access to quality of care, and the actualization of human rights. She partners with students to practice therapy that is authentic, anti-oppressive, and affirming. Vitina utilizes an integrative approach to psychotherapy and draws primarily from a relational and psychodynamic framework.
