Confidentiality

Counseling and Psychological Services respects and preserves the privacy and confidentiality of patient information. Information whether written, spoken, recorded electronically, or printed will receive the same level of protection.

The health records at CAPS are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

A Notice of Privacy Practices will only need to be signed by non-student patients of CAPS.
