Connect and Find Support with CAPS Groups

CAPS offers a wide variety of support groups designed to help students connect, grow, and thrive together. Group therapy is an effective way to explore challenges, build coping skills, and feel less alone in what you’re going through.

Groups provide a welcoming space to share experiences, learn from others, and receive guidance from trained CAPS facilitators.

Highlights of this semester’s offerings include:

  • Skill-based groups focused on mindfulness, managing anxiety, and developing coping tools.
  • Support groups centering the needs of graduate students, students of color, and LGBTQ+ students.
  • Process groups that foster self-awareness, communication, and connection with peers.

All CAPS groups are free and open to enrolled UNC-Chapel Hill students, and may require a brief screening to help ensure the best fit.
