This group welcomes students who want to address challenges faced by people of color on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum and those who are questioning. The purpose of this space is to value, nurture, respect, and celebrate QTPOC students at UNC-Chapel Hill. The group will foster connection and provide members with an affirming space to explore the challenges that QTPOC students may experience as a result of their intersectional identities.
This group requires an initial assessment at CAPS. The therapist you meet with will help you schedule a brief pre-group meeting with the group facilitator to see if the group will be a good fit for you.
Use the group interest form for questions or to express interest in this group. All students may engage in all group therapy environments. To join a group, students first meet with a CAPS therapist in a one-on-one setting to determine which group(s) might best support their needs.
Facilitator is open to changing the group time if needed, based on student interest. If the day/time listed does not work with your schedule, but you are interested, please submit a group interest form
